Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

One of the top leading causes of death in the world is suicide, health authorities say. Among countries, it belongs to the upper 20 causes of death for all ages. The number of people who kill themselves every year has reached a million, according to World Health Organization (WHO). The manager of the Wales national team, Gary Speed is no stranger to it; he ended his life at age of 42. He was known as a great midfielder. Speed has never been tagged as someone who is depressed and has not even filed a Zoloft lawsuit on his life.

Many people sighed in disbelief when they heard the news that Speed has killed himself. He taking his life was the last thing on everybody’s mind. He left a widow and two teenage sons to face questions about his death. Fans were left asking why. The life of Speed has left its mark on so many people. His talent agent and close friend, Hayden Evans said that he never had any issues with depression. It was around seven in the morning when Louise, wife of Speed, found her husband dangling in their garage. She had also said nothing on why he committed suicide. The last show on which he was last seen in was in BBC1 Football Focus, which was taped just hours before he killed himself. The presenter on BBC1, Dan Walker, shared the information that Speed was nothing but that Wales played under him made them won four to one which affirmed his managerial skills.

The untimely death of Gary Speed has caused an outpouring of tribute for the late footballer. As fans mourned the loss of a great player, they have brought tributes to the place where he used to play and outside his house. Memorabilia, flowers, scarves and jerseys were the things that people were offering. His death was asked to be spared from sensational press coverage.
